Andrew Madoff was an American financier. Born on April 8, 1966, in Roslyn, New York, he graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and worked at his father's firm.
In December 2008 he and his brother Mark told federal authorities that their father, Bernard Madoff, had confessed to running a huge Ponzi scheme. He and his family were then the subject of lawsuits.
He was diagnosed with mantle cell lymphoma in 2012. Madoff died in New York City on September 3, 2014, at age 48. His brother Mark died by suicide in 2010.
